Rosie is a mum of two based in the Adelaide Hills. Her friendly, caring nature puts people who meet her at ease. Birth has always been a passion for her, as she grew up with a mother who was an active birth trainer and childbirth educator. Becoming a doula has been on her bucket list for many years, and birthing her son in 2019 cemented this dream. Rosie then trained with the Australian Doula College as a birth and post natal doula. Rosie sees birth as a rite of passage into motherhood. She assists women to reclaim their power over their own bodies. To find the inner strength and resilience to birth their children in the way they choose, feeling loved, respected and supported in their choices.
Rosie began her career in the field of evolution, ecology and genetics (gaining a BSc with Hons. at the Australian National University). Rosie then travelled extensively and worked in the dive industry as a scuba diving and freediving instructor. In 2015 she started a business - Sustainable Menstruation Australia - promoting an ecologically friendly approach to menstruation, fertility and women's health. She cycled across America sharing her knowledge and educating people about reusable menstrual products.

Rosie's background education influences the way she looks at birthing and parenting, using a combination of evidence based research with a wholistic, evolutionary viewpoint - looking at the long-term outcomes for mother, child, family and the community as a whole. Building confidence through the release of fears and anxieties, releasing shame, guilt, fear and building resilience that will carry the new mother through birth, into motherhood and beyond. She uses her philosophy and skills from being a dive instructor - training people to have the mental fortitude to dive deep in the ocean - for birth - teaching the importance of mind over matter and the ability of the human mind to leave fears behind and embrace the unknown, finding deep strength. For Rosie, birth is a time of great transformation - a time when feeling supported is absolutely essential. Rosie creates a safe environment, where the transition into motherhood is nurtured and respected. Rosie feels honoured to walk beside any woman who trusts her with their sacred journey into motherhood. Rosie also has lived experience with pregnancy release and abortion, and channels this experience in her support for women on this journey.
In her spare time, Rosie loves looking after her many animals, gardening, hiking, diving, travelling, camping and hanging out with her family.
